So if the trees are longer then 20ft distance or further apart that the length of hammock and straps don’t reach ?

I was just wrapping the extra rope around the tree and then attaching the left over to the hammock it was flaud, not only by the inaccurate way of how much rope was left for the hammock but, the rope was being drawn from the side of the tree instead of the middle. 5 stats 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Isn’t that a cow hitch/larks head? I don’t see how that is a modified clove hitch, but either way, it’s a great hammock knot. Also, if someone wants a little extra security, you can put the working end or a toggle through the slipped loop to prevent it from getting accidentally untied while you are in the hammock. Thanks for the tip!
